Very compact and baroque, at 31 months he stands 14.2 hands, and we expect him to mature under 14.3 – ideal for the petite rider who is looking for a dynamic partner. Smart, responsive, athletic, quick on his feet, with balanced and correct gaits – we can see Romano doing very well in Working Equitation, historic Classical riding, or trail obstacle competitions. But most importantly, he will melt your heart now and forever. Romano has a solid early foundation, trained with an emphasis on positive reinforcement. He is eager to engage, and quite bold once he understands what is expected. He is a delight to handle in the day-to-day – bathing, fly spray, farrier work, vet care, trailer loading, etc. He’s already worn a bare-back pad, and we’ve had a light rider (50 lbs) sit on him in the stall.
