Ladino is truly one of a kind!  Handsome, easy-going, lovely movement, solid slow cadence – everything you want in an Iberian, scaled down to a special fun-size for the petite or junior rider!  We spent over a year searching the globe for a top quality smaller stallion, and count ourselves beyond lucky to have found this wonderful guy.  Not only is he beautiful, but he’s as sweet as they come – turned out at pasture with a group of geldings, and a complete gentleman in the breeding shed.  He is still green under saddle, but has proven to be wonderfully cooperative and trainable, and gentle enough to be handled by a 13-year-old student.  Ladino is the foundation stallion for our “Ibertini Project” – breeding exceptional Iberians in the 14.1 – 14.3 hand range for riders seeking horse-type quality in a smaller mount.  We also believe he offers a unique opportunity for breeders of performance ponies who’d like to add the special Lusitano characteristics into their program.  Ladino’s first foals will be on the ground in 2022 – and we can’t wait!
